Future proofing the workforce by supporting Humber UTC

Triton Knoll has been helping to ‘future proof’ the local workforce, by helping to foster an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths education through an open day at Scunthorpe engineering college Humber University Technical College (UTC).

Renewables trainees learning new engineering skills

Project staff were recently on-hand to talk to new students considering a career in engineering, renewables and offshore wind energy, attracting plenty of interest from visitors and lots of questions about future opportunities. Triton Knoll would hope to establish opportunities locally, for skilled engineers and technicians and sees support for local education initiatives as a way of helping build an appropriate skills base for the future. And with the offshore wind sector anticipated to continue growing and expanding well into the future, especially in and around the east coast region, there’s lots of potential for prospective engineers across the entire sector.
