Talking technical with ICE Lincoln

Our Principle Engineer Andy Barwise and Geotechnical Engineer Nicholas Christian were recently invited to the AGM of the Lincoln Branch of the Institute of Civil Engineers to present an update on the delivery of what will be innogy’s largest operational offshore project.

At 857MW, with almost 60km of onshore electrical infrastructure and over 300 horizontal directional drills taking place, the technical and engineering challenges of installing the electrical system has already been described as “unprecedented in the UK.” After the event, Andy said: “It all went really well, we always enjoy these kind of events and it gives us a great opportunity to talk about the project.”
